Four Hydrema 912ES articulated water carts, wet or dry, across Perth and regional WA. Moisture conditioning and dust control on ground a rigid truck cannot work, maintained in-house by our own mechanics.
One model, four units, built for ground that is still being made.

Most people book a water cart thinking about dust. The bigger job is usually compaction.
Getting fill to the right moisture content before it is rolled is a spec item on most earthworks, and it decides whether you hit density in three passes or chase it in six. The cart puts water into the layer the roller is about to work, which is why the two get booked together. See roller hire.
Before haul roads are formed, and for a few days after rain, a rigid truck either bogs or tears up the surface you are trying to build. The cart is articulated, so it bends in the middle instead of dragging a rigid chassis around a turn, and it keeps working on ground that is still being shaped.
HD01 to HD04. On a decent-sized earthworks job the water supply often sets the pace of the compaction crew rather than the other way round. Having four available means two areas can move at once instead of everything queueing behind a single machine.
A cart is not always the right answer. Once the site is trafficable, a water truck carries more, refills faster and drives itself between sites, which usually makes it the cheaper way to do the same work. We run both, so we have no reason to push you at the wrong one. See water truck hire.
The things people ask before they book.
The cart is an off-road articulated machine built to work on ground that is still being formed. The truck is road-registered, carries more and refills faster, but it needs a trafficable surface to do it. Most earthworks jobs use the cart early and move to the truck once the haul roads are in.
Usually a site standpipe, a dam or a nominated fill point. Because the carts work off-road, where the water is matters more than it does for a truck. A long run back to the fill point eats straight into the working time you are paying for, so tell us where the supply is and we will factor it into the quote.
Both. Wet hire includes one of our licensed operators. Dry hire is the machine only, floated to site, and your operator needs to be competent on the class and able to show evidence of it.
It depends on the area, the layer depth and how fast your compaction crew is moving. Tell us the size of the pad and the program and we will give you a straight answer on whether one is enough or whether you need two running, rather than quoting whatever is sitting in the yard.
Tell us the area, where the water is coming from and the dates. You will get a complete quote back, usually the same day.
